The holidays are a time to spread joy, love, and kindness. This is why Technomics employee-owners (EOs) collaborate with the Salvation Army for the Angel Tree event each year. The Salvation Army Angel Tree sets out on a mission to collect wishes from children and provide them the holiday experience we all deserve. This year, Technomics adopted 10 children ranging from ages 4 to 14 across four different families.

Spreading the Holiday Cheer

To give all employee-owners an opportunity to participate, Technomics had to get creative. Last year, all donations were made online and a few EOs went out and bought the gifts using the online donations. This year, Technomics wanted to continue with an online donation option, and also wanted to bring back the holiday spirit in-person by setting up the Technomics’ Christmas tree. Remote participation was still encouraged by providing an online sign-up sheet in addition to collecting monetary donations via Venmo. Physical tags decorated the Technomics’ Christmas tree where EOs stopped by to adopt holiday wishes.

This year employee-owners were able to raise almost $700 from online donations alone. This allowed employee-owners to put more towards each gift.

Place the Gifts Under the Tree

By the end of the two-week event, all of the Angel Tree wishes were fulfilled! Technomics employee-owners were excited that they were able to participate in the physical gift giving this year. Once the two-week donation period also ended, a few employee-owners got together, collected all the gifts from under the tree, and brought them to the Salvation Army distribution center.

“It was a spectacular delight –

with Christmas in sight,

to see all the gifts,

lined up just right.”

Wrap it with a Bow

The annual Angel Tree event is one that many Technomics employee-owners look forward to each year. The re-introduction of the Christmas tree in the office this year helped to inspire employee-owners to get involved. When employee-owners see the ornaments placed on the tree with a child’s name and wish, it reminds us of how fortunate we truly are. We share the belief that everyone deserves to have a Christmas gift they will cherish.

We are thankful to everyone who participated in this year's Angel Tree event and helped to make it so successful.

We wish everyone a Happy Holidays and hope that you, too, can make a difference for someone in need this holiday season.
