With the proliferation of technologies to rogue states and continually evolving threats – especially in the area of hypersonics – MDA is challenged with developing, testing, and deploying solutions that deter adversaries from launching weapons aimed at the U.S. and are effective in the event a weapon is directed towards the U.S. For nearly a decade, Technomics has supported MDA in this critical mission by combining capabilities spanning our CAAS, DA, DMA, and DPM service areas. Optimizing Resource Allocation for Improved Workforce Management

Effective Performance Management requires data driven decision making to optimize resource allocation. Technomics found that in many instances MDA’s resources were manually tracked and managed with limited insights into performance, presenting three primary risks: availability, reliability, and accuracy. To help mitigate these risks, Technomics developed a Power App and Power BI dashboard designed to track skills, qualifications, experience, and other mission enabling metrics, providing the foundation for application of Technomics’ Activity Value Visualization (AV2) offering.

To begin solving these issues, Technomics first developed and implemented standardized cost reports that spanned multiple cost models. Technomics then developed a Power App & Power BI dashboard that were utilized by both cost and budget teams during the POM process. The culmination of these efforts created efficiencies in both estimate updates and the creation of charts and briefs for MDA leadership. The time required to see and understand the impact of updated estimates to the budget controls went from hours to minutes.
