FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Technomics, Inc. Recipient of the Prestigious 2010 CARE Award

Falls Church, Virginia USA - October 28, 2010   Technomics, Inc. was one of fourteen companies honored by receipt of the prestigious 2010 CARE (Companies as Responsive Employers) Award. Richard Collins, Technomics’ CEO and Michelle Petre, senior cost analyst at the company, attended the award ceremony on Oct. 28, in Falls Church, VA.

The CARE award is given to companies that institute family-friendly policies that help employees balance the demands of work and home. The competition is very rigorous -- requiring employees to fill out extensive questionnaires and, if chosen to compete in the final competition for the award, managers and employees are interviewed on-site about the company and its family-friendly policies.

The CARE awards were developed in 1992 by Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) to empower individuals and families to improve their quality of life and to promote community cooperation and support in responding to family needs.

At the ceremony, with 350 business and Congressional leaders in attendance, Collins accepted the award by saying, “On behalf of the nearly 60 employee-owners at Technomics, I'd like to thank Northern Virginia Family Services for this award.  It's a real honor to be one of the approximately 100 companies that have received the award since 1992.  More importantly, I have managed to convince myself that the award is evidence that we are having some measure of success in achieving the company's most important strategic goal --to create an ideal workplace for its employees.”

Collins went on to explain that Petre was chosen to attend the ceremony because she’s representative of the working mothers who are an “integral part of Technomics’ success.” Collins also thanked the HR Director, Lisa Tep, for the company’s expansion of employee-family friendly policies and benefits and attributed much of the reason for the award to Tep.

Technomics, Inc. joins an impressive list of small, medium and large business winners this year, including: Argon ST ; Buccaneer Computer Systems & Service, Inc.; Compusearch; Consumer Electronics Association; Customlink.com; Federal Management Partners, Inc.; Greenspring Retirement Community; High Performance Technologies, Inc., ICF International, NATEK Incorporated; Natural Rural Electric Cooperative Association; Reston Association; and SRA International.
