Two Technomics Employees Accomplish Local Half-Marathon
|
Roslyn, Virginia USA - May 9, 2010
Colleen Craig and Kevin C. competed in the Pacers Running Festival Half Marathon on May 9th 2010. The half-marathon took place on a two-lap course through Rosslyn, Virginia.
Colleen Craig had been training for over 2 months and was thrilled with her 9:47 per mile pace. Because it was an extremely windy day and the two-lap course wasn’t the most inspiring, she felt she could have set an even faster pace under different conditions.
Kevin C. also ran the course with a time of 1:48:54 and a pace of 8.18. While the run went great, Kevin has some advice – if planning on doing a 1.2 mile swim after a half-marathon, stay away from eating a second energy bar and washing it down with a sugary drink. The result may be cramping more than just your time.
