Laing, Cherwonik, Currie Recognized for Outstanding Support to JLTV
|
Arlington VA - May 2009 Technomics Senior Cost Analysts William Laing, Jeff Cherwonik and Rob Currie were awarded certificates of appreciation for their “dedication and professionalism” in support of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV). The certificates of appreciation were signed by the JLTV Project Manager, Col. John S. Myers.
The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle family of vehicles (JLTV) program was developed in response to an operational need to replace the aging High Mobility Multi-Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) fleet. The JLTV would restore or exceed the original HMMWV mobility and payload capabilities, maintain most of its transportability capabilities, while raising its survivability and protection capabilities and improving its sustainability.
Technomics analysts participated in the JLTV program on two fronts. Currie, in supporting the OSD Defense Cost & Resource Center (DCARC), assisted the JLTV Program office over the course of a year, developing the original JLTV Contractor Cost & Software Data Reports (CSDR). Laing and Cherwonik, in direct support of the JLTV program office, contributed to the refinement of the JLTV CSDR plan into three unique CSDR plans, one for each of the participating truck companies. Together, all three Technomics analysts laid the groundwork for the collection of cost and software data from all three JLTV vendors during the Technology Demonstration phase of the JLTV program. The certificate reads, in part that these analysts, used their, “vast experience in the discussions with industry tailoring plans for each firm; capturing their unique design approach.”
Walter Rice, one of the JLTV cost analysts commented, “I am proud of and grateful for the hard work you provide us on a regular basis. My job is easier because of you and your outstanding efforts. Keep up the good work and keep fighting the good fight.”
